 HVOF Coating

HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) systems are divided into two as gas or liquid fuelled systems. Gases such as propylene, propane, hydrogen, natural gas are used in gas-fuelled systems. The fuel of liquid fuelled systems is kerosene.

The HVOF spray gun is designed to spray melting thermal powders at very high speed. The thermal powders, which are directed to the flame formed as a result of the combustion of the fuel-oxygen mixture under high pressure in a chamber in the gun, hit the workpiece at a speed of over 700m/sec and form the coating.

High density coatings are obtained with HVOF system. High adhesion values obtained by high spraying speed are the most superior feature of the system.

It is an ideal system for high hardness thermal powders such as Tungsten Carbide and Chrome Carbide. Coatings with very superior properties are obtained with thermal powders with various metal compositions and special blended thermal powders with metal, carbide and ceramic.
